“Airwallex for Startups” Launches in Hong Kong to Support Businesses with their Operations

Airwallex, the global payments and financial platform for modern businesses, has announced the launch of “Airwallex for Startups”. This campaign is exclusively designed for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to support their growth ambitions on a global scale. Airwallex aims to assist early-stage businesses in Hong Kong with their international expansion efforts.

Arnold Chan, the General Manager for Asia at Airwallex, emphasized the significant benefits of going global, such as multiple revenue streams, access to a broader customer base, and increased business resilience. By collaborating with Cyberport and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP), as well as local business partners, Airwallex aims to provide valuable resources to Hong Kong startups, allowing them to unlock their maximum potential and take their businesses to the next level.

Alongside this initiative, Airwallex will launch additional offers aimed at addressing the pain points faced by startups in Hong Kong. Through partnerships with Bowtie, The Executive Centre, and Xero, startups can access offers that enhance cost and operational efficiency, enabling them to focus on growth. Airwallex also plans to provide webinars for startups in partnership with Cyberport and networking opportunities with the HKSTP community in the coming months.

Chan highlighted the limited resources often faced by startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and discussed the challenges of time management, marketing and sales campaigns, and expense management. Airwallex aims to simplify these processes, offering guidance and special offers that can contribute to the success and streamlining of operations for startups and SMEs.

This campaign is an extension of Airwallex’s previous SME Initiative and Go Global campaigns, which have benefitted close to 1,000 Hong Kong SMEs thus far.

Airwallex positions itself as a leading global financial platform for modern businesses, providing solutions for payments, treasury, spend management, and embedded finance. With its proprietary infrastructure, Airwallex aims to remove the friction from global payments and financial operations, empowering businesses of all sizes to seize new opportunities and expand beyond borders. Airwallex currently supports over 100,000 businesses worldwide, including well-known brands such as Canva, Brex, Rippling, Navan, Qantas, and SHEIN.
