Berlin’s Upvest collaborates with Plum to offer Investments API for their smart money app, expanding investment prospects.

Berlin-based fintech company Upvest has partnered with smart money app Plum to expand its investment opportunities for EU customers. Plum currently offers 3,000 US stocks to EU customers, but with the integration of Upvest’s investment API, it will be able to offer direct and fractional investments in EUR-nominated ETFs and stocks to users in all nine EU markets where it operates. Upvest’s integrated exchange and custody connectivity will handle all orders from placement to settlement and custody. Additionally, Plum will be able to offer real fractional shares to retail investors, allowing them to become legal owners of the shares and benefit from dividend rights. The partnership aligns with both companies’ goals of providing a broader, enhanced investment experience for their customers. Upvest, founded in 2017, offers a scalable and seamless API to empower fintech companies to offer their users any type of investment product. The company currently employs over 150 people in Berlin and recently raised $42 million in a Series B financing round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
