Iris Powered by Generali, a provider of an exclusive identity and cyber protection platform, has introduced a white-labeled version of its ScamAssist tool, which is now available at Staples retail stores across the US.
Customers can now purchase the ScamAssist portal at approximately 1,000 Staples retail locations throughout the country. The tool can be obtained through Staples Total Support Plans, and customers who purchase Staples Virus Shield Plus and Virus Shield Plus Premium plans will be granted access to ScamAssist.
The CEO of Iris, Paige Schaffer, expressed her excitement about the partnership with Staples, stating that the ScamAssist portal offers customers added peace of mind. The portal takes a proactive approach to cybersecurity by assisting customers in identifying threats before they fall victim to them, as well as providing valuable advice on how to identify and avoid scams. Staples customers will now have access to 24/7 support for analyzing suspicious emails and other suspected scams through the Iris Resolution Center.
ScamAssist complements the existing in-store and on-site PC repair, upgrade services, and home and office networking setup offered by Staples Tech Services. Consumers can request scam checks through the Staples-branded portal or over the phone, and they will receive timely support from the Iris Resolution Center.
The ScamAssist tool also provides consumers with resources to identify common scam types and offers guidance on reporting fraud incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Craig Grayson, SVP of Services at Staples US Retail, emphasized the importance of protecting customer data and expressed excitement about adding ScamAssist to their portfolio of protection services. The tool connects consumers with a team of cybersecurity professionals who assess the likelihood of a threat. Considering that most scam attempts are carried out through email, the ScamAssist portal will offer an online tool where consumers can have suspicious emails professionally analyzed before engaging with them.
