Zodia Custody, a leading digital asset custodian, has announced the appointment of James Harris as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Harris, who previously served as the Commercial Director at CCData, joins Zodia Custody during a period of global growth, following the firm’s recent launch in Singapore. In his new role, Harris will be responsible for driving commercial opportunities worldwide and will be based at the company’s headquarters in London.
Harris expressed his excitement about working in the innovative and dynamic world of digital assets, stating that Zodia Custody is creating a new ecosystem for institutions to capitalize on the advantages offered by digital assets. He emphasized the importance of building the infrastructure of the future to support this growing industry.
Prior to his role at CCData, Harris held positions at MetaVault and Diginex, where he gained extensive experience in sales and custody. He also co-founded Altairian and worked as a Director at Standard Chartered.
Zodia Custody CEO, Julian Sawyer, described Harris as the perfect fit for the company, citing his deep understanding of the industry and belief in the company’s mission and vision. Sawyer also highlighted the timing of Harris’ appointment, as Zodia Custody leverages its partnerships and achievements to expand its solutions internationally.
Last month, Zodia Custody announced a partnership with compliance-first partner OpenEden. This collaboration aims to provide institutional-grade custody solutions for digital asset products, focusing on low-risk, liquid, and transparent options that generate returns for stablecoin holders.
The appointment of James Harris as Chief Commercial Officer is expected to further strengthen Zodia Custody’s position in the digital asset custodian market and contribute to its continued global growth.
