N26, the leading European digital bank, has announced the appointment of Claudio Bedino as the new General Manager for Italy and Southern Europe. In a statement, the bank highlighted Bedino’s role in one of the most important banks for the Fintech sector.

Immediately assuming the position, Bedino replaces Andrea Isola, who temporarily held the role. Bedino brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously founded Starteed, a crowdfunding startup in Italy, and co-founded Oval Money, an application aimed at supporting financial awareness and investment for millennials.

Expressing his excitement about his new role, Bedino emphasized the team of passionate professionals at N26 who have a solid understanding of customer needs and the characteristics of the local market. He expressed confidence in the bank’s continuous growth, aiming to strengthen their presence and provide products that facilitate the relationship between people and their finances, boasting an inclusive, simple, and safe experience.

Maximilian Tayenthal, founder, Co-CEO, and COO of N26, praised Bedino’s appointment, stating that he believes Bedino is the perfect fit to further enhance the bank’s position in Italy and Southern Europe.

N26 entered the Italian market in 2017 with its digital banking services and has since expanded its team to approximately 70 individuals dedicated to market development. This team is spread across Italy and the bank’s German headquarters.
