Elon Musk, the renowned entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, took to social media platform X to predict a massive overhaul of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and several other regulatory agencies. This declaration came in response to a question posed by Twitter user Mario Nawful.
Musk expressed his belief that these agencies are in dire need of a comprehensive overhaul, emphasizing the importance of establishing a commission that can take punitive actions against individuals who have misused their regulatory power for personal or political gain. He eagerly anticipates the implementation of these reforms.
The tech mogul followed up his statement by asserting that he sees a 100% probability of an overhaul occurring. However, he did not provide any specific details regarding the nature or timeline of these proposed changes.
This announcement comes on the heels of Musk being served with an Order by the SEC. The regulatory body claimed that Musk had failed to respond to a subpoena that required him to meet with officials regarding their investigation into his acquisition of Twitter, which is now known as X. Musk responded to this development with a brief but somewhat frustrated comment of “Seriously.”
Musk has emerged as a prominent figure in the fight for free speech, particularly in relation to government interference on Twitter, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he has voiced concerns about the left-wing shift within the Democratic party, which has pushed him and others more towards the center or center-right politically. This perspective has made him a target for left-wing operatives. Many citizens have rallied behind Musk’s vocal stance, as they too worry about governmental overreach and the authoritarian tone adopted by certain federal agencies.
In a subsequent statement, Musk hinted at potential revelations that could emerge during the overhaul. He cryptically stated, “It’s gonna be amazing. The amount of dirt that will come to light from certain past and present people at these agencies will blow your mind.”
