Globe, the leading telecommunications service provider and digital solutions platform in the Philippines, has joined forces with international insurtech company bolttech to introduce a new program called Gadget Xchange. This innovative program aims to simplify the process of switching mobile devices for postpaid customers.
Gadget Xchange offers customers greater flexibility and choice when it comes to mobile device and screen replacement services. It allows them to seamlessly switch between different device brands, styles, and colors without any questions asked. Both new and existing Globe Postpaid and Platinum customers can take advantage of these benefits by paying a simple monthly subscription fee.
The service plan fees for Gadget Xchange start at PHP89 per month for entry-level phones and go up to a maximum fee of PHP499 per month for high-end devices. These fees cover a protection period of up to 48 months. Customers can request device switch or replacement services at any time through an easy-to-use online platform. The service also includes free pick-up and doorstep delivery, as well as a 12-month warranty for device replacements and a 3-month warranty for screen replacements.
New customers applying for postpaid plans in Globe Stores can add the Gadget Xchange subscription via the application form. On the other hand, online customers can simply visit new.globe.com.ph, apply for a plan with a device, and toggle the Gadget Xchange button after selecting a device.
A recent study by bolttech revealed that customers in the Philippines are most concerned about cracked screens, accidental breakage, and liquid damage when it comes to device protection. Over 50% of respondents prioritized these damages. Another important feature for customers is the ability to switch their mobile device for a different model, with 43% highlighting this as a key benefit.
Darius Delgado, Head of Globe’s Consumer Mobile Business, expressed his excitement about the partnership with bolttech and the new device protection service it brings to postpaid mobile users in the Philippines. He emphasized that Gadget Xchange offers convenience and flexibility for customers, allowing them to change their devices without any hassle.
