Mexico’s Kueski, the BNPL and Online Consumer Lending Platform, Makes Key Appointments.

Kueski, one of the largest buy now, pay later (BNPL) and online consumer lenders in Mexico, has made significant appointments to its team to enhance its user experience. Javier Irigoyen has been named as the Head of Product Management for Kueski Pay, the company’s BNPL product, while Patrick Strange has taken the position of Head of Design.

Kueski places a high emphasis on providing a seamless customer experience, and the addition of Irigoyen and Strange demonstrates the company’s commitment to crafting an optimal user experience. The company aims to create greater access to financial services for millions of customers in Mexico.

As Head of Product Management for Kueski Pay, Irigoyen will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations of the BNPL product. His leadership will play a crucial role in meeting the financial needs of millions of Mexicans and driving innovative business growth for brands, merchant partners, and store associates.

Irigoyen joins Kueski with a wealth of product management experience from renowned brands in the United States, including Amazon, TikTok, and JP Morgan Chase.

In his role as Head of Design, Strange will lead the design vision across Kueski’s product ecosystem. He will oversee a team of product designers, user researchers, and content designers to create exceptional product experiences for customers. This aligns with Kueski’s mission of providing greater access to financial tools and improving the financial lives of Mexicans.

Before joining Kueski, Strange held product design leadership positions at Meta and played a significant role in designing Novi, Meta’s first crypto-based financial product. With a decade-long career spanning agencies and globally recognized technology companies, Strange brings extensive experience in product design, content design, and user research.

Fausto Ibarra, Chief Product Officer at Kueski, expressed excitement about the new additions to the team, highlighting their wealth of experience from top technology companies. Ibarra emphasized the importance of expanding Kueski’s footprint and product ecosystem to grant more Mexicans access to financial services.

Kueski’s growth has been remarkable, with triple-digit growth in unique users since 2022 and a record 12 million loans issued. According to a report by Morgan Stanley, Kueski Pay is the preferred BNPL partner for merchants in Latin America and has the highest penetration among the top 150 e-commerce merchants in Mexico.

Kueski estimates that one out of every four top e-commerce merchants in Mexico offers its BNPL service. With these latest appointments and its continued momentum, Kueski is well-positioned to further expand its reach and impact in the Mexican financial services market.
