PensionBee, a UK-based company, hires Matthew Cavanagh as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.

Online pension provider PensionBee has announced the appointment of Matthew Cavanagh as its new Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. Matthew previously served as the General Counsel to PensionBee in 2015 and will now lead the legal function of the PensionBee Group. In his new role, Matthew will provide legal advice to all aspects of the business and its boards, while managing external legal relationships. With over 20 years of legal experience, Matthew specializes in asset and investment management, funds, and finance law. Most recently, he was the Executive Legal Counsel of the Qatar Investment Authority. Matthew has also worked at top international law firms including Clifford Chance, Linklaters, and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. Additionally, he has held significant roles at King & Wood Mallesons SJBerwin and Christofferson, Robb & Company. Matthew is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, Ireland, and Australia, and holds multiple degrees including an LLM in Commercial Law. Romi Savova, CEO of PensionBee, expressed excitement about Matthew’s return, noting his valuable legal experience and knowledge of the company’s mission and values. With Matthew’s appointment, PensionBee aims to strengthen its team and continue its growth journey. Matthew Cavanagh himself commented on his enthusiasm for rejoining the PensionBee team.
