UK-based wealthtech platform Vega has launched with an impressive $8 million in equity investment from venture capital firms and angel investors. The platform, founded by a team of former executives from hedge funds, private equity firms, and fintech scale-ups, aims to revolutionize the wealth management industry by providing a unified platform for both high-net-worth individuals and advisors.
According to Alexis Augier, founder and CEO of Vega, the platform is designed to meet the needs of the new generation of high-net-worth individuals. He stated, “Our goal is to provide a unified wealth management platform that transforms the experience for end-users while equipping advisors with institutional-grade solutions.”
Vega offers users the opportunity to invest across a wide range of asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, public equities, fixed income, and commodities. Unlike traditional platforms that focus on single-fund access, Vega uses technology to construct diversified portfolios that combine multiple leading alternative asset managers. This allows users to invest in private markets in an optimal way while also complementing their exposure with public asset classes, all on a single platform.
In addition to investment products, Vega is also developing a variety of liquidity and financial planning solutions. These tools aim to help wealth advisors and their clients unlock liquidity from complex financial assets and optimize their management.
The founding team of Vega consists of financial experts from renowned investment firms such as Elliott, Blackstone, KKR, and Goldman Sachs. The team also includes product and engineering specialists from successful fintech scale-ups like Revolut and Trade Republic.
Vega’s impressive list of backers includes Motive Ventures, Picus Capital, Citi Ventures, No Label Ventures, and over 60 angel investors. Among them are senior partners from investment firms like KKR, Blackstone, and Permira, as well as fintech executives who have held leadership positions at N26, Trade Republic, and Klarna.
Robin Godenrath, Managing Director and Founding Partner at Picus Capital, expressed his support for Vega, saying: “We are excited to back Vega on their mission to transform wealth management with their innovative platform. With their experienced team and their vision for the future, we believe Vega has the potential to disrupt the industry and deliver outstanding value to their users.”
The launch of Vega marks an important milestone in the wealthtech space, as the platform aims to reshape the way high-net-worth individuals and advisors manage their wealth. With its diverse range of investment options, innovative technology, and experienced team, Vega is positioning itself as a leading player in the rapidly evolving wealth management industry.
